PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Breeder Warrants

1. The DOG is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is sold with Limited Registration status.

Fidecore Cane Corso certifies that all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming have been completed and are current at the time of sale. A complete vaccination and deworming record will be provided to the PURCHASER at the time of transfer.

AKC registration papers will be released only upon submission of valid proof of spaying or neutering, which must include the DOG’s microchip number for verification.

  • Invoices, appointment records, or other unofficial documents will not be accepted as proof.
  • If valid proof is not submitted within twelve (12) months from the DOG’s date of birth, the AKC registration papers will not be issued, and the PURCHASER forfeits any right to receive them.

2. Replacement Policy for Life-Threatening Congenital Defects

If the purchased dog is diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital defect—specifically involving the heart, kidneys, or lungs—that results in death or poses a serious, life-threatening condition within one (1) year from the date of birth, the breeder agrees to provide a replacement dog of equal value, subject to the terms outlined below.

Conditions for Eligibility:

  1. The purchaser must have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within one (1) year from the dog’s date of birth.
  2. The defect must be confirmed by the veterinarian as genetic and life-threatening, and directly responsible for the dog’s death or severe, incurable condition.
  3. A necropsy report (animal autopsy) must be provided, clearly stating that the cause of death was due to a congenital/genetic defect.
  4. The purchaser must return:
    • A signed statement from the licensed veterinarian confirming the diagnosis.
    • All relevant medical documentation and the necropsy report.

Replacement Terms:

  • A replacement puppy of equal value will be offered, based on availability, within 12 months of the confirmed diagnosis and/or death.
  • Only one (1) replacement dog will be provided under this agreement.
  • No monetary refunds or exchanges will be made under any circumstances.
  • The original puppy must be returned, or if deceased, all proper documentation proving the cause of death must be submitted.

This policy applies only to congenital, life-threatening defects and does not cover non-life-threatening conditions or those caused by accident, injury, neglect, or illness unrelated to genetics.

3. The PURCHASER agrees to provide the BREEDER with all medical records pertaining to the DOG upon request.

4. The BREEDER is not responsible for any cases of Parvovirus or Distemper virus diagnosed seven (7) days after the date of sale.

5. The BREEDER assumes no responsibility for any illness or health condition diagnosed after the sale of the DOG.
In the rare event that the DOG dies within the first twelve (12) months due to a congenital defect, the following conditions must be met before any action or replacement consideration will be taken by the BREEDER:

  • A necropsy must be performed by a state-certified veterinary laboratory, confirming both the cause of death and the congenital nature of the defect.
  • The PURCHASER is responsible for all costs related to the necropsy.
  • The PURCHASER must submit the necropsy report, a clear photo of the deceased DOG, and the DOG’s microchip number for identification verification.
  • Under no circumstances is the DOG to be euthanized without the BREEDER’s prior knowledge and written consent.

6. The BREEDER is not responsible for any veterinary or medical expenses incurred after the sale, nor for any damage caused by the DOG. The selection of a veterinary provider is at the PURCHASER’sdiscretion, and the BREEDER is not liable for any issues, costs, or disputes related to veterinary care.

While veterinary choice is at the PURCHASER’s discretion, the BREEDER highly recommends working with a veterinarian affiliated with Breeder, such as Fox Lake Animal Hospital in Illinois.

7. Health Warranty & Partial Disclaimer

We guarantee that dog is in good health at the time of sell, having received appropriate veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming.

Pet contract comes with limited health warranty that covers only serious  congenital or hereditary conditions diagnosed with proof by a licensed veterinarian.

Important Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover any form of dysplasia (hip, elbow, or otherwise), as these conditions are complex, often influenced by environment and lifestyle. Coverage for dysplasia is available only under an extended health warranty, which must be purchased separately.

Also not covered under this warranty:

  • Common, treatable conditions (e.g., parasites, minor infections)
  • Illnesses resulting from neglect, injury, poor nutrition, or exposure to contagious diseases

Ongoing veterinary care, proper nutrition, and a safe environment are the buyer’s responsibility. Failure to meet these standards may void all warranty coverage.

Purchaser Warrants

The Purchaser agrees to maintain sole possession of the dog. As this is a purebred Cane Corso, ownership and possession of the dog cannot be transferred without prior consent from the Breeder. If the Purchaser wishes to transfer possession of the dog, the Breeder shall have the absolute and irrevocable first right to repurchase the dog under the following conditions:

  • 50% of the Puppy Original Price (excluding expenses), if the dog is no older than 12 months and remains intact.

This right remains in effect for 15 years from the date of purchase and is exercisable immediately upon execution of this Agreement. The Breeder may exercise this right by providing written notice of intent to repurchase the dog, along with payment of the applicable repurchase amount.

In the case of a return, the Breeder will inspect the dog for up to 14 days from the date it is returned. A refund will be issued no later than 30 days from the date the dog is received. The Purchaser is responsible for all costs associated with the return of the dog. No refund will be given if the dog is older than 12 months.

This option is non-transferable except by will or as required by law and is exercisable only by the Purchaser during their lifetime, unless otherwise stated in Section 8 of this Agreement.

If the dog is transferred due to behavioral or health issues, the Breeder is not obligated to refund the purchase price. The Breeder reserves the right to evaluate the dog’s behavior or health for up to 14 days from the date of return. Should the dog exhibit issues, the Purchaser will cover all costs associated with the return of the dog. No additional payment will be required from the Purchaser for the dog’s issues. Ownership transfer documents must be signed on the day the dog is returned to the Breeder.

Possession of the dog may only be transferred through a formal agreement with the Breeder, under the following conditions:

  1. The Breeder inspects the new living environment to ensure it is suitable for the dog.
  2. A new contract is signed between the Breeder and the new owner.

If the Breeder is unable to take the dog back, the Purchaser is responsible for finding a new home for the dog, although the Breeder will provide help and support in this process. The Purchaser understands that it is not the Breeder’sresponsibility at this point.

If the dog is rehomed, sold, or left at an animal control facility or shelter, the Purchaser will be responsible for all expenses incurred by the Breeder to reclaim the dog, as well as a penalty fee of $9,000.

By signing this contract, the Purchaser fully accepts and understands Section 8 of this Agreement and agrees to cover all related expenses.

9. Veterinarian Health Record and Ownership Verification

The Purchaser agrees to email the Breeder at fidecorekennel@gmail.com a current veterinarian health record stating the dog’s health condition, along with a copy of the invoice showing any procedures and care provided by the veterinarian, as proof of the exam, upon the Breeder’s request.

If the Purchaser fails to provide the requested current, up-to-date veterinarian statement, a penalty fee of $9,000 will be imposed by the Breeder.

The veterinarian statement must be issued in the Purchaser’s name, including the address provided at the time of the sale. If the Purchaser moves to a different location, the Breeder must be notified of the new address where the dog will reside. All documents must reflect accurate, up-to-date information, including the correct address where the dog is living.

If the Purchaser is unable to provide the required health records or proof of the dog’s health condition, the Breeder may request immediate repossession of the dog. The dog must be returned to the Breeder within 14 days from the date of the Breeder’s request.

10 . Spay and Neuter Agreement

This Spay and Neuter Agreement is a mandatory condition of the main Purchase Agreement. The Breeder will not sell the dog to the Purchaser at the pet price unless this agreement is signed and upheld.

Spay/Neuter Requirements

The Purchaser agrees to have the dog spayed or neutered by the time the dog reaches twelve (12) months of age. Written proof of the procedure must be provided to the Breeder within thirty (30) daysfollowing surgery.

If, due to medical reasons, the dog is unable to undergo the procedure, the Purchaser must submit a written statement from a licensed veterinarian explaining why the dog is not physically fit for surgery. This statement must also include:

  • A proposed date for the procedure,
  • The dog’s microchip number (required on all documents).

Note: The Breeder will not accept any veterinary documents, statements, or invoices unless they include the dog’s microchip number.

Breach of Agreement and Penalties

Failure to spay or neuter the dog within the required timeframe, or failure to provide timely proof, will result in the following penalties and may may trigger these consequences:

  • $6,000 per dog for failure to comply with the spay/neuter requirement.
  • If the dog is used for breeding:
    • $3,000 per dog sold by the Purchaser.
    • If the number of offspring cannot be determined, a liquidated damages fee of $9,999 per litter will be imposed.

If the Purchaser is unable to provide verifiable proof that the dog has never been bred or has never been pregnant after reaching twelve (12) months of age, an additional penalty of $9,999 will be imposed for breach of contract and violation of the companion-only purchase agreement.

It is important to acknowledge that intact females over twelve months of age may exhibit physical signs of pregnancy due to false pregnancies. However, this will not be accepted as a valid explanation for the absence of spay/neuter compliance or evidence of breeding. By signing this agreement, the Purchaser understands and accepts these terms, along with the associated consequences.

Exceptions for Sport or Working Dogs

In certain cases—such as when the dog is intended for sport, protection, or another role where the presence of sex hormones is necessary—the Breeder may approve a Vasectomy or Ovary-Sparing Spay. These procedures must also be completed before the dog turns 12 months old.

Important: The Purchaser must obtain written consent from the Breeder prior to performing either of these alternative procedures.

Purpose of Agreement

This agreement is designed to preserve the quality and integrity of the Cane Corso breed. It reflects the Breeder’s extensive investment, experience, and commitment, including:

  • The careful selection and acquisition of superior bloodlines from around the world,
  • Active participation in AKC events to uphold the kennel’s ranking and reputation.

The Breeder retains sole discretion over who may own and breed dogs from their bloodlines. Puppies sold under a PET COMPANION agreement are not authorized for breeding under any circumstances.

Final Note

The Breeder will not accept veterinarian recommendations to delay the procedure. Any concerns regarding the dog’s eligibility for surgery must be discussed and resolved before this agreement is signed.
